Today’s Challenge: Get Inspired by A Song
”Bones” by Jess Walker

Going to Rice University I meet a plethora of inspirational people. It seems like everyone is going to save the world in their respective academic field. However, I’m honestly so grateful to a Rice U artist named Jess Walker for inspiring me. She puts in all this amazing work to achieve her dream and it makes me want to keep fighting for mine. In fact, her song “Bones” has been my jam during long nights at Fondren while I’m preparing for finals.

Therefore, not only was this look literally inspired by bones (my leg bones) but it really reflects the feeling I get from this song. I’ve had a pretty rough semester emotionally and academically so it simply reminds to be strong and keep looking ahead because “dwelling on the past ain’t gonna fix anything”. Choosing spiky and edgy pieces makes me feel powerful and like I can take on any challenge ahead.
